What will it take to give a v6 400 hp

I was all about the body, and I'm pretty much done so now I'm moving on to the engine. I have a goal of 400 HP. I plan to do this step-by-step over the next year or two. I have 3,500 put aside right now so I want to start.

I have 3500 put asaide so far I planned to work on this car and learn as much as I can over the next two to three years. I'm just looking for the right direction. I'll do the book work once I figure out what's needed.

Could a vortech v2 super charger running 8 psi with cams and headers get over 400 up?

Btw I thought an intake was uneeded if you do
Forced injection.

you would need something along the lines of: Heads, cams, supercharger, air-to-air intecooler[custom], long tube headers, and full exhaust.

I have the flow master american thunder mufflers
With x pipe conversion. Does that offer any up gains? Are most headers compatable with other brands so I can leave the exhaust I have ATM?

Thanks for the help Im gong to get that rear end sometime this month you suggested ssstang.

More advice will be apreciated! Thanks

wrong. All you need is the Powerhouse turbo which is currently the only one available for the 4.0 and the right supporting mods. Go over to mustangcollective and look a Fazm's car. He is making close to 400whp on his STREET tune.

You will not get 400whp with a Vortech. One guy was able to get 400whp with a Procharger D-1SC, Heads/Cams. Unless you upgrade the head unit for the vortech your not gonna get 400whp.

IMO if you don't have the money to replace your engine you should shoot so high.

It's going to be a project, I'm putting a little on the side here and there. I'm in no hurry. I'll buy it piece by piece and get the car where I want it to be. And by replace engine do you mean swap or just upgrade it?

Did you get the vortech that came with the predator tuner, just wondering because your sig says you have that tuner. I was looking at that not too long ago.

V1 T would get the job done I'm sure.

Its possible to run 400whp on the stock engine if you take good care of it and don't flog it every red light. IMO just get the powerhouse turbo to start off and work up from there.

Only one x-charger I've seen with above 300whp (it was like 310whp) and he has forged pistons. Every other X-charger can't get past 299whp. I know a couple guys that run 12psi and make 350whp and make 320whp on 10psi.
