The other question is gears.
1 to 4 will rev faster, but is 5th (over drive) changed at all?

look 5th is cruising gear ... you wont really be using 5th for racing. but either way it will be a huge difference and you will feel a huge gain without the actual gain.

The more you mod your engine the better the gains with duals. It may only add 5 or so HP now but as you do more to the engine they become better.

I realize that 5th is for cruising only. What I'm asking if I put in faster gears will 5th gear be affected? If not that's good because my freeway MPG will be the same as it is now if I'm not racing.

Btw what gears do most of you guys put in?

If you want to maintain some highway drivability the go with 3:73's. And yes 5th gear will still be affected. You are changing the gearing in the rear-end. It affects everything in the driveline.
