How do you make a V6 mustang for a 2008 faster?

like the guy said gears are a great place to start.. Then get a short shifter.. cold air intake, throttle body kit, fuel ingection, livewire tunning, new exhaust, 3 1/2 inch pipe, headders long tube, shaker hood system just to look cool lol... put a cam in it. only problem if you live in cali headders are illegal i didnt find that out until i put them on and now i wont pass smog lol...most likey when you do the exhaust do the duel exhaust its sounds great like a v8 and not a gay ricer. i did all this to my 2008 mustang and it runs great.. if you have anymore questions just ask cause ill be able to answer them easy!!!

With mods that get more air in the engine and mods that increase flow out of the engine and tuning to take advantage of there mods. the basic mods are: cold air intake, tune, exhaust-midpipe and axlebacks, slightly more serious mod long tube headers. those are your basic hp mods. you can also change your rear end gear ratio. and some suspension work like subframe connectors and drag or lowering springs depending on whether you want to corner better or launch better.

on my o8 mustang i got the lower springs and its a definite must buy if you want to corner the turns cause i can hit a sharp turns like no other i smoke everyone i street race in the turns cause my car is well for one extremely fast and turn it can handle turns.. go with the lowering kits helps alot

Take a few months to read and research. The basics have already been said (tuner, cold air and dual exhast) There are poweradders (turbo, NOS or superchargers) and there are ways to free up existing HP such as underdrive pulleys, lighter driveshafts etc. Welcome to the boards.
