If you like it that's all that matters but yes pypes sound good on those cars, a cold air intake and tuner will make it a good combo.....

ok i am adding - pypes muffler delete system w - x-pipe and pypes violaters to my v6 - this wekend - my friend sent me this email and it freaked me out - any truth to this ?

You have an oxygen sensor on the exhaust that finds out how much o2 is still in the exhaust gas. With higher, faster flow, the sensor may not be able to gather the info it needs. This will error out and send a Check engine light.
This doesn’t happen every time, and even if it does, it’s only every once in a while. Will not cause engine damage, but may cause the computer to run the fuel/air mixture on the lean side (less gas, more air).

also im also considering some long tube headers from summit thoughts ?

I have no experience with Exhaust, so I need to ask some questions as I was considering the same option as the OP.

Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (05-10 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I want to install this, But I do not know how. Is this something that I would need to get proffesionaly installed or could I do it with a lift in a auto hobby shop on the military base? I am worried about having to cut anything on my car and welding in particular asI have never done this and I don't wanna mess up my car.

Thanks for any and all help.

If I got that same Pypes kit could I replace the axle-backs with:
Pypes Violator Axle-Back Exhaust (05-10 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

it says gt but they are the same size and made from the same materials

One proble I have encountered with long tube headers is that the collector normally ends past the bell housing. When you have to change the clutch/flywheel in the future
you may have to back oout the bolts on the header flange to get they out of the way to get into the bell housing. If you plan on selling the car before you get to this point no problem otherwise....

Generally longtube headers sound like ass on the 4.0s and also cause extreme drone in the cabin. Not worth the small HP gain to put up with a car that sounds like ass and drives you nuts from the cabin noise.
