Transmission flush - 05 Auto

My mustang badly needs a tranny service and am wondering about the flush. Since its a sealed transmission, do most mechanics have the equipment to do this or since it's sealed, is it a dealer only item?

I need an answer pretty quick please if you can, going to be walking out the door here in a minute. Thanks in advance!

Auto or manual? You can do it yourself relatively easy.

lol he said its an auto, as far as changing it goes, you could do it yourself if you wanted, however getting all of the old fluiid would be unlikely, a shop will hook up to the in/out lines of fluid running to the rad.

keep sucking untill it all turns red and no more brown

Thumbs down

Update Edit : Got the tranny serviced today. I'll just say this. Never assume the previous owner did the proper maintenance on the car.. ever. We hooked it all up and when the machine started pumping, did pinkish red fluid come out? nay. Did violet reddish fluid come out? nay. Did black with a very very only slight tinge of redness come out? yes. I'm surprised this transmission had enough fluid pressure to get back into park let alone change gears.

But oh my god now that it's been flushed (4 times they had to do it) the car is driving like a bat out of hell and its really really responsive on the downshifts

Thanks for the help everyone.

Belay that request. I just took it to the Ford shop locally and they have it now.
Figured may as well do it since it had never been done.
