i don't have the time slips yet, i've been trying to get out to baytown to run, but the pressure plate kept breaking. now i have a centerforce dual friction clutch that seems to be holding up, so i hope to make it out that way after thanks giving. as far as the dyno, it said 238hp and 264tq. there was a problem with the dyno so i don't know how accurate it was. after the dyno tune i ended up retuning it myself because it felt like i had lost a good 30 hp from their tune. infact the bama tune felt alot stronger. so i custom tuned it myself. on the freeway with 3.73 gears most of them will take me. but at a stop light, it's a different story. the real key was the suspension for the hole shot.

actually you also forgot the suspension in your list, i have adjustable tubular upper control arm and lower control arms with the steada adjustable panhard bar and brace, with a swar bar rear end brace and gt springs and gt sway bars, plus a g-track brace with torque limiters. the dyno read 238 hp and 264tq. on the freeway at 80 i have a hard time, but at a stop light, it's a different story. i hope to hit baytown after thanks giving. i'll post times then. oh, and you forgot the aluminum drive shaft. and no, i don't run spray.

Let me know when you make it to HRP, I usually lurk around that track every weekend.

And Rev. Dex, maybe the LS1 guys where he is from can't drive.... Even if he did out lauch them from a dead stop the LS1 pull up top would catch him somewhere quick.

Well you have the people who buy them because of what they are, and aren't really into racing but will engage in a race for fun. And you have the gearheads who can rip gears....

guess that shifting is adding some serious HP ....I am still saying the other driver was asleep or a rat chewed through 3 or 4 of his spark plug wires. I am not seeing a v6 with your mods beating a LS1

JESUS! Why the hell are the V8 guys swarming in this forum? Did they get outcast by their own kind and must now prey on V6 owners for sustenance lol?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't go forum-by-forum, I use the "New Posts" button, and check any threads that sound interesting, no matter where they are.

When I first get on, I always check the 4,0L 05+ section, then I always use the new post button.

Oh I also check my my threads too.

Question about the msg sparkplugs or wires or whatever; what do they do to add power? more complete and efficient fuel burn?

Same here, whatever is interesting and if I think I can help I chime in! To the OP, Gears CAI tune and exhaust are great mods. But for 500.00 bones you can add a 100 shot N2O kit and pound his sorry ass till you get the money to go turbo or SC if thats what you want! You may find you like the N2O. I have a friend with a 07 v6 and 3.73s CAI and exhaust and a compucar bag-o-nitrous kit (100 dry shot) He runs 13.47@104 and has had it on the car for 15K miles with no problems. You can find this kit at Holcomb Motorsports Inc. good luck man......fuck a chevy!!!!

instead of spending $2200 dollars, you can just spend $300 and buy this nitrous kit in your area and shut him up:
