i think it might be the high flow cats thats giving the exhaust a kind of high pitch tone. thats strange from thrush welded mufflers. maybe once it gets broke in some more itll sound better. run it for a few weeks and take another vid. also, when revving your engine, dont rev up too fast, thatll make it sound more raspy. slowly go through all the rpms.

+1 on the revving too fast

In my videos I usually give a slow climb to about 2k (or 3k in the cobra) then a quick tap up to 4.5k (5k in cobra)

Really U think its the Hi Flow cats. I got the Hi Flows to try and keep it quieter. Yes for thrush welded mufflers they do seem a lil high pitched Maybe the will deepin up a lil, but if not its ok to cause i like the way they sound I didnt think i would like the high pitched but i dont think it sounds to bad at all lol....I mainly got the LT for the performance and i can honestly say that by the butt dyno i can deff tell an increase in power from this new exhaust set up..

with the thrushes it should be really deep, and with the lt's it should be deep as well... h-pipe is also less raspy than a x-pipe. my only guess from that set-up would be the hi flow cats... mainly because they are pypes... pypes stuff sounds rapsy and ricey to me.

like i said give it a month or so of continuous driving and see if it deepens any. also, what size exhaust pipes are you running? 2.25 or 2.5?

I thought it sounds really good at lower rpm's. They probably need to get a little dirty in order to sound deeper.

I've had my exhaust in the box for 2 months, and it might not be until the summer before I can get it put on

I'd leave them on.

I had a pypes system without the cats and it sounded worse... the reason I put the cats on was to tone it down a bit.

Personally, I don't care for how it sounds. Higher RPM's sounds like a dirt bike. Sorry, just my opinion.

You got a CAI? It definately deepened the tone with mine. I think you should put 2 stock GT cats on there. They will be more restrictive, but I think it will sound alot deeper. I liked the drive bys man. Good job.
