I've heard a lot of bad things about Pypes actually. Especially a lot of drone at a certain RPM and stuff like that. I went with the Ford Racing True Dual's instead.

Also don't forget that with Pypes either you will need a GT bumper or have an oddly cut stock bumper at the back. The FRTD's come with brackets that easily mount on the cuts of the stock bumper at the back to give it a professional finished look.

I had a pypes x pipe on my sixxer, and flowmaster mufflers I got used for 25 dollars!!

Sounded decent for a sixxer, and you can't beat 125 bucks for parts.

i got no prrblems with a pypes mid-pipe, but dont get pypes mufflers or the catback system. better ways to spend money. thrush welded is just one example. cheap but give a great sound

I have the Pypes catback true dual setup on mine. Love the sound over a few of the other systems on mustangs. The only issue that I had when installing them was the midpipe to the x-pipe. It was an inch too short. Not a problem though. Just made some sleeves and welded into place. BTW most Pypes complete setups come with all the hangers and hardware that are needed. Also the drone that I heard from mine ended up being the stock Ford transmission crossmember exhaust hangers. That was 3400 rpm or so. Ford has a TSB to remove the crossmember exhaust hangers completely. Drone gone.

completely different engines so it will sound very different. on a sixxer there are much better choices. and for the OP, you dont want to go cheap

Cheap, Reliable, Fast... pick two

i have the pypes true dual aswell. i deleted the mufflers completely and added exhaust dumps right after the x-pype. i have been told by everyone that it sounds great. a bit too loud for some, but still sounds great. as far as a "drone", to be honest, the damn thing is loud at almost any rpm. lol i think that is why most people dig it.

has anyone tried Supertraps? Just running pipes all the way to the rear and putting two supertraps on there?

I have personal experience w/ these. My dad has them and it sounds like a ricer. He's looking into getting some flows right now. Save your money on this system and keep looking.

Thrush welded have a great sound and are $30-$40 a piece.

Pypes are notorious for having a raspy sound in the upper rpms. all v6' swill have the raspy sound, but pypes sound way worse than MAC, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, and Thrush.
