Need help looking for a new rear bumper
I have an 06 convertible and I have had the ford racing exhaust kit put on it but I am looking to change out the bumper. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any rear bumpers for duel exhaust (3.5 inch tips) that would look sexy and line up with most body kits as far as side skirts???
I don't want to just upgrade to the GT bumper. I would like the Shelby bumper but it is like $800 so if anyone knows of that bumper being cheaper let me know. |

Have you checked Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle ?
www.newtakeoffs.com would probably have the gt bumper if you do decide to go that route. |

Ya I saw what they have on there site and I know the GT bumper is always an option. I am trying to find something out of the box but not ricer car ish. I have heard about like a California dream bumper or something like that. It has a black piece in the middle or something ??? I really like the way the Shelby rear bumper looks so anything like that would be a sweet find but i haven't had any luck yet

California special bumper is $350 + paint and can easily be finished to match the GT500 rear.

+1 on the cs bumper... that wut i did, and when u go to paint it, just leave the sides on the bottom unpainted like the gt500 if thats the look u wanna go for. Its pretty much the same thing, just a lot cheaper.

The lower part of the bumper does not get left raw, it gets painted with light texture bumper/trim paint. Left raw it will chalk, stain and fade.

ya that looks pretty good i know that a lip kit would line up with side skirts thats why i like that idea. Do you know if the California special bumper would line up as well and not make the rear end look really high up compared to the side skirts? Cost seems to be about the same for both not bad at all i just didn't want to pay 800 before paint thats nuts.

for me, less than $100 for paint, but thats cuz i work at the shop i got mine painted at... i would say altogether u would probly be spending somewhere around $500 total (Bumper+Paint) at a decent shop, but all shops charge differently

Nice... at least your car is white and will be easier to match than most colors that have a lot of pearl or metallic in it.. definitely post up some pics when u get it done.
