what tranny fluid?

Hi,i have an 07 4.0 mustang supercharged.I don't think this mercon V mobil 1 full synthetic is holdin up too well.I can smell it cooking a bit every time i get on it much. Our cars use the t-5 manual transmission btw.

I had royal purple max atf in it awhile back, but i changed from that because the gears were a bit nibbly in cold weather.

I am open to suggestions.I did talk to one guy who says he mixes in one quart of lucas with the mercon V.Maybe??Anyhow, what has worked for you?I need something that is going to stick to the gears some and not burn up,lol-

the lucas stuff does show to help improve staying on the gears. and its designed to mix with stuff.
i'm just not a big oil man, so i'm not sure enough to really reccomend something

as long as it meets mercon standards or better it will work without problems. Royal Purple Max ATF is great stuff!....you didnt like it?

Thanks for the replies.

@ shadow5403,i liked RP just fine, but to go into detail it did'nt like winter temps. For like the first 5 miles of driving on a cold start even after idle warmup 1st and 2nd gear were nibbling on me.

I just got off the phone with lucas, and the tech said that 12oz of "lucas transmission fix p/n#10009 "mixed with the mercon V(total tranny capacity is 2.8 qts.)will work very well.No compatibility problems.I will try it and give feedback.Shifts are really rough in this hotter weather atm in spite of all my supporting mods.

Well,i used to think this stuff was only for fixing something that was broke. After a couple days,i feel safe to say very nice improve in the way shifting feels over just straight mercon.
