Single exit?

As far as I go with the s197 mustangs, I'm basically a noob. Now that that's out of the way...why do so many new 6's stay with single exhast and just get muffler back?

From a performance point of view:

The stock muffler is a bit restrictive, and not much power to get unleashed under around 300 hp.I noticed that justin @ vmp is a sponsor here.He did some dyno tests that proved it as far as i'm concerned..

From a looks and sounds POV:I like keeping my v6 identity, and like the sound enough as is until i work thru my priorities since all 05-08 mustang mods are freakin more expensive than older stangs,lol-Capitalism

honestly, i don't know why more 6ers don't go dual. I remember when I had my exhaust done, first they pulled off the stock muffler and put on a flow force II (it was definately louder than stock), then they cut my Y and put in the H and the other forceII and it was about twice as loud as stock, and there was definately some performance gain. (or maybe i was just high that day) Regardless, I will never stay single (exhaust, that is) if I ever get another 6

If you take the muffler hanger(the single muffler will have 2,one front ,one rear) use the front hanger, put it on the left side in the holes that are already there(2007)cut the bumper cover to match the right side, you can do duels quiet easy.I cut the factory Y out, installed a X in its place, used the factory single pipe on the right side, over the rear end,and had a new left side pipe made over the rear end, ordered 2 GT TAKE OFF mufflers from OEM TAKEOFF,cost was $125 dollers for true duels.
