To Drag or Not To Drag

I have always loved cars and racing etc. now I find myself wanting to drag my car, would you do it?
In my mind I have a list of pros and cons, no it is NOT professional by any means but, stuff happens. The one thing that Im stuck on is what damage could happen to the motor and axle? I have a 08 with 2260 miles/3600km's. all thought opinions and suggestions are welcome.

As long as you take care of your car w/ proper oil changes and tune up, after you drag race your car I believe this should be done, you can prevent major wear and tear on your vehicle. This doesn't mean that you won't experience some problems.

Thanks guys I have been told that my motor will blow? I will break an axle? I will throw a rod? I will throw up in my helmet? I have always wanted to do this, and this is my first nice cool ride that is new. My Pro list is I will just drive the way I would on a open highway, pedal to the metal.

X2 thats a really short drag strip. Could be good for practicing your launches & working on 60ft times though!!

holy crap! That is really short. That thing is a lot shorter than an 1/8th mile! It's really good practice, but your times wont be comparable to anything. Those times are probably around a 10 sec. 1/8th mile and a 15 sec 1/4 mile.

don't drive threw the water pit next time. You don't need it, you are on street tires. drive around it and do a quick burnout to clean the tires up.
