Boost Controller????
Im thinking about installing a boost controller for my turbo, only problem is i dont know to much about them and have no experience using one, whats the difference between manual and electronic, im running seven psi right now and i know i can run more which is why a boost controller makes sense to me i can crank irt up to 9 or sometimes even 10 when i want. also whats the most i should push the car im not sure how much power the 4.0 engine could handle and the tranny. Please help

electric is suppose to be a little safer and more accurate
i'm using a manual controller. the only thing i dont like are the spikes the 4.0s after about 9psi you have to worry about valve float i would look into stronger springs before turning the boost up to 9+psi electronic you just use a button to turn boost manual you turn by hand... i run mine inside the car IMO if your going to get stronger springs you might as well look in to a set of cams see more power and run 9-10psi with over 400rwhp for sure

Thanks chris im also looking into the 70 mm throttle body, aluminum driveshaft and underdrive pulleys, maybe il just stick with what i have now and do everything next year, you have any type of price range for stronger springs and cams???

also chris maybe eventually il go with supersixmotorsports what do u think about the ported cylinder heads, cams, head studs, and valve springs

ssm is the only place with heads/cams for the 4.0

lol im sorry you are talking about supersixmotorsports what do u recommend from there i was thinking the stage 2 they have a 4.0 at over 400 rwhp can the transmission handle that much?????

stage 3 heads and cams.. you can do stage 2 but i thought stage 3 heads were required for cams

what kinda tranny
and whats done to the rear end? i dont sell parts for the 4.0 sadly the most i could really do is P&P the heads order parts from supersix for you and assemble the head i would do the minor bolt ons you wana do first then think about head work

This is everything thats done to my car...
sts rear mount turbo tuned with diablo handheld at 7 psi shorty headers 8.8 rear end with 3:31 gears and t-lok i have a wideband air fuel ratio and boost gauge installed as well. I want to eventually get a 70 mm throttle body, powerhouse aluminum driveshaft, underdrive pulleys. and i guess the stage 3 from ssm and after all that a good dyno tune, i should get great power with all those mods i dont know how much boost i couyld safely run with all that, u have any ideas??? also how can i beef up the tranny to handle that much power i have to be pushing 500 hp with all that |

and are you running the stock 28spline or 31?

stage 3 superheads im going to leave the car the way it is now at 7 psi the car is alot of fun now and im going to do everything else in the spring of 09 70mm throttle body aluminum driveshaft underdrive pulleys and the stage 3 superheads running as much boost as i can!!!! lol my only worry is how to make the trasmission stronger i mean the car is an automatic how can i make the stock transmission stronger???
