you would benefit by being able to launch at a higher rpm. for example now you can rev while holding the brake to about 1500-1600 rpm before the tires break loose. w/ a higher rpm torque converter you could could rev to that given amount before breaking the tires loose, therefore allowing you to launch alot harder. for example say you have a 3000rpm stall speed, now you can rev up to 3000 and launch from there. your car makes alot more torque at 3000rpm than it would at 1500 so you take off harder which wit the right tires can siognificantly reduce your 60' and 1/4 mile times

I have a 3k stall for my 05 auto. Not in yet but the seller saw a 1/10 improvement in 60ft time and 2/10 in 1/4 mile with it. His car was x charged. I expect even better results than him as I dont have the low end of the x or the gears he had. (Im still 3.31) but have a lot more power above 3500rpm. My best 60ft with DR's is 2.1 sec. The stall should get me through my soggy bottom faster. I'll let you know in a couple weeks when I get it in.
