my brakes are squeeling worse than MSO after a night of getting ZIPPEE'D

2 months ago a noticed a slight squeek when i applied the breaks lightly, now its a lot worse. It doesnt happen all the time, but when im in my school parking lot, its horrible. It could be just that its getting cold now and the breaks arent warmed up when i leave school, but what do yall think i should do? should i just get new break pads? i was talking to someone and they were saying if you put a thin film of oil on the calipers it will stop the squeek. this seems risky to me... ... its time for maintence in about 500 miles anyways, soany helpful ideas?

its not oil that u put on...its brake quiet stuff. most of the time the noise u hear is the pads moving. if u put some of the brake quiet stuff on the back of the pads (NOT THE SIDE THAT CONTACTS THE ROTOR) it should quiet them down. also most of the time its ur front ones so just do it on them first and see if that fixes it

Sounds like there is nothing left of your brake pads.

Metal on metal on your brake pads and rotors is bad.

Vastly reduced stopping ability and destruction of your rotors.

If you find you need new rotors just get a GT take off package. You get new rotors, calipers and pads for about what pads and turning your rotors will cost you plus you get one inch bigger rotors and you can feel the improvement in the braking.
