Stock Pirelli PZero Nero are M&S?
I am stuck driving a 2008 GT in Minneapolis through snow for the next 30 days or so while I wait for the closing on my new home. I considered buying snow tires for it, but spending just under $1,000 at tirerack.com didn't seem logical for a month worth of driving when the stock tires are labeled mud and snow.
I discovered today that M&S really means 1/4 inch of mud and snow. Anything more equals a no go on any grade hill. I have 4.10 gears and the car starts fine in second gear but man it is no fun. My last car was a 2002 F-150 Lightning and the door jam had a huge warning that the vehicle was not to be driven in snow/freezing conditions. I seriously think that this two wheel drive truck with no weight in the back had better handling. I suggest that Mustangs included the same warning ![]() Consider this a vote for anyone in the snow belt, get some serious snow tires if you are going to rely on your Mustang in the winter. Oh yeah, my windows freeze shut every day while I'm at work. It makes a nasty sound when you close the door. I am budgeting now for a complete replacement of the molding, motor, and any associated parts .
