Aftermarket auto shifter?

Alright, this is probably a stupid question, but i really hate the way the automatic shifter feels on our cars. Are there any after market ones you can buy to put on there?

damn, thats expensive as hell. I dont want anything super good performance wise, just something that feels a little smoother

well i guess i worded it wrong. I dont actually want an entire shifter. What i want to do is replace the existing shift knob with a manual transmission look and leather boot

Dude, they told you. You can't get an "standard" look with an automatic transmission. Your only option is the one already posted or to make a custom leather boot some how.

unless the b&m hammer shifter fits in s197's, you might only have that one option man.

CDC used to make a ball style replacement for the autos. Not sure if they make any for the s197...I've only seen them on auto Mach 1's.

yeah, i've looked around. i think upr (?) is suppose to have a large range of shifters and what not...checked the site and they really don't have that many (if any) out for our cars yet. at least I dont think so
