OBX Headers the Good, Bad, and Ugly

Does anyone run them?
How was the install?
Did they turn colors?
Any Leaks?
As much HP gains as the bigger name brands?

Overall how do you like them. I found the kit which comes with the longtubes, a catted h-pipe, and a o/r h=pipe for $479, why the heck are they so darn cheap gotta be a reason, and input??

On the header install the motor doesnt need to be lifted right? like a few inches up my buddy is dead set that they do, and on a lift how hards the job for a backyard mechanic to do

Yes, I have them and love them.
Install was a pain in the ass, but any LT install is going to be.
Yes, they have turned the colors you would expect them to turn. The headers aren't extremely visible though, so it's not like its a big deal. If it IS a big deal to you, have them Jet-Coated.
Absolutely NO leaks.
The variance of HP increases between any header brand is going to be very small. I doubt my OBX headers give me any more or less HP than, say, JBA, for example.

Hopefully that helps!

I'm thinkin about getting these OBX for Christmas. Tribal, did you install them yourself? I don't feel like spendin the extra cash to get them installed if I can do it myself...

06 Mustang GT w/JLT CAI and xcal2.

Best 1/8 so far: 8.8 @ 80. And that was before mods

Gears or headers are next...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the H pipe set that looks like cats is actually just a pair of resonators. If they really are cats I might consider them.

Myself and my cousin installed them on my car over the course of a weekend. About 12 hours total, and neither of us had done a header install before. He's much more of a wrench than I am too. Do not do this job alone. I also wouldn't pay someone to do it either.

Yes, they are just resonators. I've used both H-Pipes and noticed little difference between them.
