Heater/ac controls........problem?

Every once in a while I have to turn my vent control knob from feet to just dash vents and back (just back and fourth) to get it to blow out of the upper vents. This morning I tried everything to get some heat blowing out of the upper vents and it would only work when I selected ONLY the upper vents......If I selected the upper/lower vents together, it just wouldn't blow.

Anyone else have a problem like this?

i had to take mine in for the gas gauge, ford was stupid and put a hump in the tank so if you take a turn all the gas goes to that side and takes awhile to settle back down.

Hey Bosman- If I am not mistaken, your car, just like most of the Fords has a door that opens and closes when switching between vents. It is a common issue Ford has with this design and the door motor goes bad that moves it. Simple fix, just time consuming as it is located behind the dash.
