Does anyone know if the wiring harness in a 05 v6 is the same as my 07 GT with the shaker 500? And is the satellite receiver part of the stereo or is it separate? I've got a neighbor talked into trading his trunk lid without the satellite antenna for mine if I give and install my take out stereo but I'm not sure if it will plug in. He just has the basic stereo in his. Any info will be appreciated

I'm not sure about the wiring harness, but I believe the satellite receiver is seperate from the stereo.

Reasons I believe this, is because I just bought an 07 GT/CS, and the satellite radio was installed after the previous owner bought the car, which is also equipped with the Shaker 500.

Also, the Satellite selection is one of 3 AUX inputs to the stereo. I would ASSUME that if the satellite receiver was part of the stereo, there would be an actual selection for satellite radio (ie. SAT or something), but who knows. A lot of things don't make sense. But I am pretty sure that the receiver is seperate from the stereo itself.

Satellite radio was not available as an option until '07 so I'm not sure if the '05 headunits have the ability to control the sat radio.
