Way too small. About 2 inches shorter than your stockers. It will look goofy.

I had that size DR's on my car for the strip... it really did look silly.... even with my drop there was still a lot of room around the tire and they are smaller than the stock tire diameter...

dont hit any pot holes going fast. And that will throw your speedo off a bit too.

Thats what size I had on my 98. Looked pretty good on there but looks even thin on it. I think it would look way to small on a S197

Running 8.5" wheels, you are really only going to run a 255~265 (maybe a 275 in some tires), depending on the profile. The higher the profile, the wider the acceptable fit per manufacturer, generally speaking.

I would run a 255 as it is the best fit, IMO.

Jazzer

EDIT: Big type-o there... eek!

do you want dr's or street tires.

the best size for them to still handle optimally would be 255/45/18 you could squeeze the 275/40/18 on there probably.

nitto 555 (street) Nitto Tire - High Performance Tires for Car and Truck Enthusiasts
nitto 555R (dr's) only come in a 285/40 that might fit. i don't know if you could get them on there. Nitto Tire - High Performance Tires for Car and Truck Enthusiasts

bfg kdw2's BFGoodrich Tires | g-Force? T/AŽ KDW | Tire Sizes & Specs
bfg g/force dr 275/35 this one ends up being a little short, but if you're looking for a dr that will fit on the stock 18's this should go on there. BFGoodrich Tires | g-Force? T/AŽ KDW | Tire Sizes & Specs
