Based on the code manual it is as follows -
P0153- Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit Slow Response - Bank No. 2. I had this happen awhile back for no reason as well. I used my tuner (SCT) to clear and has not returned since. BBII

I would just clear it. It most likely won't come back on.

When ever I get a code I clear it and wait to see if it comes back. If it comes back the same code then I'll look it over and see whats wrong.

Its a problem with some of us who have LT headers since the o2 sensors are moved from there original position (further down)...but everytime mine pops up i clear it with the tuner and it goes off for a long time..

Will eliminators fix this problem?

No, these are concerning the upstream o2 sensors. Eliminators trick the computer into thinking the cats are working fine when they really aren't there because you installed an o/r midpipe.

Tuff luck
Talked to some guys from local shop, they said "welcome to long tube headers". Check it once a month to make sure its the same code and live with it.

That's insanity. A properly set up tune should not throw codes, even with long tubes.

So, lets say he was running even slightly rich, but for a long time. It slowly killed his 02 Sensor (mechanical failure) and now its respond super slow. Even slower than normal. Therefore he gets a CEL. |

I think it throws this code because being farther back in the exhaust the o2s take longer to warm up and throw this code. I think in the tune you can delay the o2s turning on so it won't throw this code.

For the situation in the quote above. This is correct as well. The Tune needs to know that the location of the O2s has changed. This is way more common with 05 and up Mustangs and Longtubes.

That would do the trick, Red, as long as the 02 isn't already to far gone.

Only the Front two if your X is offroad. But yes. You may also need extensions.

I understand that. But if you are running Cat's then you can use all four 02's is what I'm saying. Regardless of your header/manifold choice. On the other hand, if your running a offroad x-pipe, AKA no cats, you only run two 02's. You may need extensions for your front two 02's either way because they are likely placed farther back than on the stock manifolds.
