Do I need to worry about my borla stingers???

Hey all, when I first put on my headers and o/r x pipe I had Flowmaster american thunder on my car. and not too long after I started hearing some "clanking" noise coming from one of the mufflers. I assume that now with the cats off there is alot more pressure and heat flowing through the mufflers, could this have damaged the mufflers and do i need to worry about the same thing happening to my borlas?

Flowmasters blow with an o/r x pipe. I just had to replace mine because of that.

hmm that explains it, so much for selling the flowmasters lolol... Do I need to worry about the Borlas?

Flowmasters are HORRIBLE with the x pipe. I just sold mine and got the Stingers. You will be fine

stingers are a straight thru design. and they have the borla logo. you're golden

most of the high perf. mufflers are going to be a straight through designs to prevent these kinds of things from happening. Borla, Bassani, etc, etc, all use mostly straight through designs, because they are built for higher performance applications. They do cost a tad bit more though.

Flowmasters suck big, huge hairy balls with any midpipe on the S197s. They were making that noise because they suck.

You will be fine with the stingers.

Yeah I ordered the borla stingers from summit i had the flowmasters im hoping to lose that nasty as raspy sound when i swap them out. those freakin flowmasters suck dick.. sorry im drunk but im embarrased to drove the car with the flowmasters i also have the o/r x pipe from bbk

if the guy w/ the damn borlas actually had a good camera, you would be more impressed, but sice the stinger owners are biased....well....it doesn't matter if they cant even hear the video lol
