BBK TB Install - Having "surge" issues

Looking for some guidance again. Installed the BBK throttle body on my '07. Seems as if it continues to idle up and down - and actually surge the motor at times....

Anyone have similar issues after installing their throttle body?

Did you have it tweaked with a programmer. I have read some people need thier tunes tweaked after install.

Actually, yes, I have a Diablo tune. (I used the Steeda tune - as I have the pulley's and the CAI.)

I have done a few trial and errors with it - but bottom line, the car runs just fine with everything less the TB... I'd like to keep the TB - but not sure I like having the idle issues.

I have a Granatelli and have had no problems. I remember 2 important things when installing. 1 make sure you remove your positive cable before installing and 2 you have to make sure the gears are in the right position before attaching the throttle body-positioning switch. You may want to double check and make sure the seal behind the throttle body between the intake is seated properly. Also when I ordered my xcal2 I added it to my list of mods for the tune. Hope this helps.

I would maybe take it, if you can, to a dyno and have them run it and tweak your tunes. I have heard of some people having that problem. They got their tune tweaked and they were good to go.

Cool folks - thanks. I don't believe it is sticking. I am having some JBA Short Headers installed next week - may let the guys at the shop check it out for me... If I can't resolve it - I will take it off.

Happy New Year!
