can't decide
How much power do you guys think i would put down with mac lt's, o/r prochamber, comp stage 2 spr cams, and new c&l manifold? I already have a jlt cai, steeda udp's, and 4.10's. I figured i could probable get all the parts for around $2,500. Would my ET be even close to the same as just getting the vortech v3 non-intercooled instead? after laber, they would both be about the same price.

i wouldn't do the non intercooled one. later when you want to add the intercooler for it it will cost so much more than doing it up front. i thought you knew a ford master tech that does side work? i'd rather have the lt's, intake, and cam over the non intercooled one. i'm going to be doing all my own work unless i can find some totally insane deal on some side work for install.

I do know a good ford tech and service manager. I figure i could get him to install all this stuff for a maximum of $1,000. that would put me aprox. at $3,500 for parts and labor. vortech would cost me $3,600. vortech would put me probable around 400-420hp... cams, lt's, and manifold??? Adding the intercooler later isn't too much more. non- intercooled kit is 3,600 and complete kit is like 5,000. to add the rest of the kit later it cost around 1,800. So around 400 bucks.

I'd go with the supercharger. Save for the intercooled one though, it makes quite a difference.

I bet you can do the exhaust and intake manifold yourself. that would save you more money for more mods

i say do the N/A mods instead of a non-intercooled kit...and does the C&L manifold fit with a JLT or do you have to buy a C&L intake as well?

heads, cams, and everything needed for self install will be right in your neighborhood if he still had that other set.

do all motor juco. Join the club. Go for the heads and cams. And you can even add the c&l intake manifold. There is also nothing wrong with the non intercooled centri, but I dont know how the power curve is. I have only seen paxton graphs, and those were 2200novi intercooled. But you should be able to install one your self. I dont mess with heads and cams. But the sc should be easy. Good luck choosing it took me a year. (Plus by selecting the correct cam for your style of driving you can change the arc of your power band to beat sc'd cars.)

LTs - 10-15hp? prochamber - 10 hp no idea on cams manifold + intake - 37hp? udp - 5-10hp so that's about 62-72hp + whatever the cams get ya. I would imagine you'd net at least 100+hp from all that. I could be way off though, this is all just guessing for me Might be able to squeeze out 10-20 more out of a good dyno tune for 93.

Well, there is your answer...Well, there is your answer... NON-intercoolded s/c NOT the kind of reliability you are looking for... Heads and cams and with a lil practice and a good wheel set up and gears.. you have a safe and reliable daily driven sub-12sec. car... AND, you are VERRRY ready to save for next year and put an intercooled s/c on THAT bad ass... See where Im getting ![]() JM2 |
