Installing rear suspension?

I'm going to put my suspension parts on Wed. nite: BMR adj UCA, BMR adj. panhard, BMR billet LCA's & reloc. brackets, and Pro-Kit springs. Did the front last week. I understand all the instructions that came with the parts and have read tech threads on installing the individual parts, looks easy, but my question is, is there a prefered order for installing these parts? I know if I just tear everything apart at one time, the rear end will fall on my head. And does anyone have a rough estimate on how far to adjust the UCA & panhard bar for the pinion angle and centering the rear endtill I get it aligned on the weekend?

Ok first question....... the order. Im assuming your doing this on jack stands?

I would say do the UCA first, off and on before anything else. and if you have some blocks to put under the axle to support it that would be easiest. As to where to adjust it without a pinion angle thingy, i guess you could make it the stock length. But someone else might have a better answer.

Im trying to remember if the panhard bar and sway bar are in the way for that uca part of the job but i cant remember. if so take them off.

After that part is done your going to have to get the panhard bar and the sway bar off to do the relocation brackets. If i remember correctly on the driver side the bolt that goes in the panhard bar is also going through the relocation bracket so that relo bracket needs to be on to put the new panhard bar back on. So i would just take the swaybar, panhard bar off, unbolt the control arms, put the relocation brackets and the new control arms on and then the panhard bar and the swaybar. The swaybar basically is in the way of getting to the bolts on the panhar bar.

As for the adjustment on the panhard bar, make it the same lenght as stock. just lay the stock bar down once you take it off and make then the same lenght. And then you adjust it while its on the car and the car is not jacked up or anything. basically just use a plum, or a string with a washer tied to it or something and a tape measure and make them even. But i think that part is in the instructions.

Somone else might know an easier way. Its rare that i do things the best way, i just get through it somehow with a lot of cussin.
Give me a call if you need anything.

And make sure the relocation brackets are tight!!!! You dont need to weld these things, its a good idea but you dont need to. Mine are not welded. But i know of a couple of guys that didnt have them tight, and they moved just drive normal on the street. Luckily no damage to the car.

By the way if your haveing a hard time getting the panhard on to line up to the hole on the right side....which you shouldnt if you make it the same length as stock, but if you are, just put a jack under the relobracket and jack up the right side of the axle until the hole lines up. Unless you have help and then someone can push the axle over. But that should be a problem with it the stock lenght.

Thanks for all the help 07stanggt. From sale, to delivery, to advice. Great customer service!!! Now all I need you to do is actually come put them in for me. After I get them in I'll post a pic. Might take me a week or two, working on a couple of other projects too. Depending on the weather I might paint some body parts on Wednesday instead of the suspension install. I'm trying to get the garage up to 80 degrees at night to paint. They say 70 is good to paint, but I want to give myself some extra room. They say the clear coat needs the temp to stay crystal clear. Spent too much time sanding, priming, and wet sanding to screw it up by being impatient.

The following links is what I used when I installed the rear suspension pieces. I suggest that you install one thing at a time. That way you don't forget to reinstall something or tighten down. Its easy but just take your time and you'll be done in no time. Good luck

All that stuff is relatively straightforward. Just staring at it for a while will let you know what you need to do. The instructions that come with the parts are utterly worthless in my opinion.
