New here...Couple questions...Plus pics :-D
Just got me a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible...And been reading thru the forum...Quite helpful...Looking at SC options...
One concern I have...I want more speed...But...I don't want to void my warranty...How exactly does it work with adding performance when it comes to warranty? First thing I guess I'm doing is changing the gears...I don't know a shitload about car modding...But oh well I'll learn :-D My car is an automatic...I live in orlando, florida...A manual just doesn't make sense... Any tips and tricks to improve the car let me know...I am about to get a full navigation system...with all the bells and whistles...Because I can't do shit for directions :-D Thanks! Here is the pics...blah boring compared to most on here...for now ![]() |

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Mustang. I live just north of orlando and can tell you that if the dealer installs a Roushcharger it is under warranty for 36 months the same as your reg warranty. Make sure the dealership is a roush authorized dealership because I've heard of at least one bad install at a dealer I won't mention. A 5 speed is not bad in Orlando, it gives you something to do in the traffic jams lol.

I am not saying that the Roush is the best, it's just the one I have and it works very good and is covered by warranty. From what I read there are alot of good blowers out there. I know mine keeps up with the saleen but that's the only other one I've driven. I can say that it puts a smile on my face every time I get on it and one certain dodgecharger srt8 couldn't keep up.(all 4 times he tried lol )

If you go with the Roush you will remain under warranty. The one issue that I know of is this. If you computer needs to be re flashed for any reason it must be sent to Roush to be done. My Stealership in Daytona is a Roush dealer and after speaking with them about putting a sc on my car they did explain this to me. So anytime your computer needs a re flash you will be looking at a minimum of 3 days in the shop. One to pull it out and ship, one at roush, and one back to the stealership. (and that is if all goes well) I also believe you can go with a Saleen sc and keep your warranty as well. You may also want to contact Steeda to see if you keep your warranty with theirs. They are closely associated with Ford, so you may be in luck. They are in South Florida, so if you do have to ship to them you know it is always only one day. Call Fred Mills 954.960.0774

just a note....when I was buying, the Saleen was about a grand more than the roush . Both are good though, I've driven both and any normal person would be tickled with either. Good luck in your choice.
