That sucks for you in FL The tint limit is 10 all around it looks cool. And at anytime nobody can see in...

Check the following link:

http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/

That was correct for my state and any shop that does tint should know what is legal.

I chose FormulaOne Comfort Series 30 as my tint: http://www.formulaone.com. It can be pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for. Combined with the solar tinted glass, I'm sitting at about 27%. I went all around with the 30 because I had been in a friend's car that had limo on the rear and I thought it was difficult to see out at night.

I found some reviews online of auto tinting places and went with the highest rated one. $291 installed - again, this is a lot more than I have payed in the past for tint, but I would not accept a half-assed job this time around. I expected perfection and that is what I got. The guy that did my tint does a lot of exotics (Porsche, Ferarri, etc.) and he did an *excellent* job.

I don't have any pics of it up yet, but I could take some tomorrow and post them if you want.

True,

No one will know what you can get away with. If the cops are strict in your neck of the woods, you might be gettin hassled from the jump.

I tinted my Denali last year ith 30% on the driver and passenger windows, and didn't make it home before getting pulled over.

This is another item which you need to decide for yourself, no one here knows your likes and dislikes. As mentioned earlier some people hate limo dark 5% on their back windows because it is difficult to see. Others love it. Same thing goes for the front windows. The darker you go the harder it is to see out at night. Especially if you live in an area that isn't lit or is relatively dark, like in the country or something.

I went 20% on all the side windows, and 5% on the back as well as a 5% strip across the top of the windshield. Car is in storage now, but in the first 2 months I was pulled over 3 times for the tint - 75.00 a pop on the tickets I was written.

No tint is allowed on the fronts in Illinois, many cops don't care, others really hate it.

Some things I am just not comfortable doing. I tried doing tint on my truck once and it turned out really lousy. In my situation, I'm glad I went the route I did.

Baller,

Check out the following link:

http://www.tintcenter.com/

That should give you a decent amount of info on tint. As for doing it yourself or having it installed by a shop, that is entirely up to you.

Cause I go through cars like most people do underwear. Not to mention I have a good friend in the business and for what he charges me, I couldn't do for less in the way of my free time being spent tinting. Couple that with the fact that tinting is not even a little bit interesting to me. I'll pay..

Could you perhaps rephrase your question? What exactly are you wanting? I've posted two links now that give you plenty of information on tint.

If you are referring to the darkness of the film, that is entirely personal preference. Most people I talk to go as dark as possible (legally). Use the link I sent you to check the laws for your state. Find a decent shop in your area and confirm that information with them. After that its a matter of choosing what film you want to go with and then deciding on what % you want. The lower the number the darker the film.
