So what tuner is the best??

I need to get a tuner in order to get an off road H pype, so in your opinion what tuner is best? and can u use a friends tuner or are they programmed to work for only one car?

SCT is really good. Thats what i use. I have heard good things about predator too. Tuners will usually only work on one car at a time

It would be best to find who you would use if you get a dyno tune and see what they use. Then purchase that tuner. Tuners are locked to only one car.

I use the SCT X-Cal 3. The tuner you get really makes a difference if your going to Dyno tune the car at a shop. Most Tuners (shops) only use one type of software and like blackmustang285 said , it would be a good idea to see what your local shop uses

ya i bought an sct x3 and i love it, but my local dyno shop uses 'sniper' so i gotta eat that money i used to get the sct....

Sniper offers more features for the end user and can tune 2 cars right out of the box

I guess it is the value I put in having it tuned as opposed to me doing it myself.. if you are good at that kind of stuff (computers+mechanics) then it might be worth a try.. I have a little larger investment to consider, which somewhat effects my choices.
