I hope it fits, for the 05+ Ford switched to a weird thread. it is either 12mm X 1.75 or X 1.5 It was a pain in the butt to find the correct insert for my "T" handle, infact I ended up having a neighbor who is a machinist make it for me.

negative.

they have a different pattern. Only way it'll fit is if you cross thread it.

Whats wrong with cross threading it? If my plan is to put it on and never take it off will it not stay on snugg?

I doubt you were, but if you are serious about going ahead and cross threaing it, if you use a thread locker like LOK-TITE or something it should be ok. It might not screw down all the way and might sit a little crooked.
If you have access to a thread gauge there was a fraction size that was almost dead on, you might be able to run a bottom tap into the shifter knob and put it on that way, trying to change the thread pattern is not normally a good ideal but these two are very close. If you tap it to change the threads, make sure to use a thread locking adhesive.
