STS Twin Turbo, turbo size?

Anybody know the specs on the turbos that STS uses in their S197 twin turbo setup? I have found a sight that said Garret T2/3 Hybrid turbo, but can not find any more info. Anybody know the mm, trim, and A/R on both the compressor side and exhaust side?

I personally dont know anyone who has an STS turbo kit but Stage3motorsports sells their kits so maybe you could call them and ask a few questions.

If your thinking about purchasing a STS kit, I wouldn't do it if I were you. Tuning nightmare.

But its all what makes you happy in the end. I'm having trouble finding what they use as well. I also was able to find they are using garret turbos. They do not list size anywhere. Even on Turbochargers.com and they usually list every tech spec possible. Odd's are the single turbo is a t3 and the twin setup is probably like a t2/t3 hybrid.

Do you know the specs on the T2/3 hybrids? Do you think a 57mm .6ar and .64ar would spool nicely to 6800/7000 and be forgiving on lag?

It doesn't just come down to turbo size. It is about the entire setup. I can't tell you that you will see boost at XXXRpm or a max boost of XXPsi. I can, however, tell you that you should look at Turbo Powerhouse, HPP and Hellion turbo kits as they are probably the most popular and best. I reccomend the powerhouse kit because the down tube runs inside the k-member and does not hang down. This way if you lower your car you not scrapping the down pipe all the time. Which is a symptom of the Hellion kit. Also, make sure to do a blow-thru style setup if you can afford it. Its easier to tune and sounds cooler because you can vent to the atmosphere with your Blow Of Valve.

In a nutshell, unless you are having a shop that does this all the time create a custom turbo kit for you. Or, you have in depth knowdedge of how a entire turbo system works, including support modifications. Leave it to the pro's.

I had a STS twin turbo set up before getting my Procharger. Not a tuning nightmare, but the piping is a pain to mount up. There customer service is very good, give them a call and ask for Freddy! Also if your looking to buy one, PM me your email and I can send you a complete instruction manual. It shows you everything that comes with the kit and how to install.

Also if your just looking for a TT set up I would consider turbo kits|chassis|accessories - Turbo Horsepower

Then what made you decide to switch to the Procharger? Your the first person I've ever seen that actually likes the kit, if you did indeed like it.

I'm concidering doing a custom kit. My friend has built several turbo cars and is helping me. He is fabing up headers and piping for his 3000 hp setup right now. He has only done front mount systems and I just wanted to know the specs on the turbine side because I believe STS uses a smaller exhaust side than what would be used on a traditional front mount. But if anybody knew them they would have posted them by now.

I got it from a friend, install was a pain. So sold i for more than what I bought it for, I am not really a turbo guy. That is why I sold it and went to Procharger.

reccomend the powerhouse kit
I am not in the least mechanically inclined. I have purchased two turbo systems from Powerhouse, first the base 67mm and then upgraded to a 76mm (you don't just swap out head units). I have dealt with Mike Bowen for quite a while now. I cannot compare his product to any other turbo though, since I have not tried any other. His post-sales service and support is wonderful. We talk to him very often, weekly, about all sorts of things related to the car and its performance/goals.
