My first round of mods complete! need some input/advice...

Hi guys!

So I just completed my first round of modifications! I'll have some pics up this week. COMPLETELY changed the look of my GT. I love it! ...well, most of it, anyway.

Here's what I did...

- FRPP Stingers
- Ducktail spoiler
- Side scoops
- Black billet grill (w/ no badging)
- Factory bolt-on hood scoop
- Hood stripes
- Hurst short-throw shifter (probly my favorite modification!)
- 18" Anthracite 'Deep Dish' Bullitt wheels (10" in back 9" up front)
- Nitto NT555 'Extreme Performance' tires

Here are the areas I need some advice or answers...

- Exhaust: Right now I think the sound is great, and just what I was looking for. I think it matches the current performance level. But as I complete my planned performance mods (CAI, 4.10 gears, Tuning), I might want a little bigger growl. Can anything be done to beef up the sound without replacing the exhaust? would headers be the way to go for that? anything else that might be a little cheaper or easier?

- Hood scoop: I'm not crazy about the hood scoop. I really think I would like the Shaker system (not only for the way it looks, but I like the authenticity of having a real, functioning scoop). I've read some posts where people say that they "feel" a strong performance gain from the Shaker...any thoughts on that? If there's really no HP gain to speak of, does it offer any benefit at all?

- Nitto tires: I love driving my new GT. I want to drive it ALL the time (I find myself making up errands to run and things to do, just so I can back out on the road). But after I bought the tires and put them on, I read that these tires cannot be driven in the rain...ever. Is that really true? Anyone have any experience driving in the rain on dry-weather-only tires?

Sorry for the long post. Looking forward to your advice and opinions.

those tires are fine in the rain, i've even driven them in the snow. It's the nt555R's that you don't want to drive in the rain.

I have stingers and an frpp splice in x pipe. I think it sounds great, a little more growl and its cheap and easy(about $130). Try youtube for a video of it to get an idea
