Tire selection
Hey guys,
Getting new wheels (Konig Beyond) later this week, and now I need to choose to what tires to put on the car. I had Toyo Proxes S/T's on my last wheels simply because they were cheap. Frankly, it took nothing to spin them. I found some Nitto INVO's for around $150 to 170 (don't remember) and I saw a video of a GT3 going downhill at speed with those tires. I don't AutoX or road race, but I like to think I do on the street. I DON'T need a DR for the road, but a road course or AutoX inspired tire would be great. Any suggestions? I was gonna go with Nitto's NT-05's but they're not out for a while.

The BFG KDW2s are nice. I have the Nitto NT555s right now and they are a good compromise between wear and grip.

that nt-05 comes out in febuary. I would get the nt555's. I've heard the kdw's are kinda loud. I'd stay away from the invo's. They look rediculous and wear pretty quick.

you aren't allowed to get the beyonds
can't be having two of us on here with them. i won't let them become bullitts. i love the kdw's really. the stick like glue, but like juco said they are just a tad on the loud side. it doesn't bother me though because of the performance you get out of them. if you don't smoke your tires all the time you will get plenty of miles also. i'm going on 20grand on my rear tires and they are only approx. half way. the only downside to the beyond's is that they only come in a 9.5" if you want 18'shere's what they look like with 18's and 8.5 in front and 9.5 in back. 255/40 (i think) and 295/35 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() where are you buying them. this was the best deal i could find when i bought mine a few years ago. looks like it's the same price now as it was then. $780 + shipping (about 80 bucks ground) Shopping Cart

Can't go wrong with the Nitto 555s or the BFG kdws, both are good tires. Maybe check out Toyo T1Rs or R1Rs. Thre R1Rs are really good but they don't last very long.
