Thats what i am in the process of doing as soon as i can but i want to do it right.Yours is reading what mine supposedly did on the dyno.Coincidence?I think not.I think their tune does not take into account that sweet cold air or something. Before i go to the dyno i am going to change my fuel filter and let her rip. When i get some more $$$ that boost a pump is history i just don't know when its working or if its working.

If you want to test the boost a pump, it's real easy. Jump the wires going to the boost switch, then check the output voltage of the BAP. With the wires jumpered, it should put out 17.2-17.5 volts. If you disconnect the jumper wire it should output stock voltage, around 14. You'll hear a change in pitch as you jump/disconnect the jumper wire. Like I said, I've been through all of this already...

12.5 is as lean as you want to go with F/I, so that's not what concerns me so much. What is pissing me off and making me get it tuned on a dyno is that I have no part-throttle enrichment, like I said. Under normal acceleration it will go as lean as 16:1 and you can actually feel the car lose power. WOT it holds 12.5:1 no problem. Basically if I'm not cruising or WOT, it's lean. I have tried and tried to figure it out, and worked with Ken at KB to try to explaing what's going on, but the only way to figure out what is causing it is to get it to a tuner.

I never even thought about not getting it dyno tuned when I first had the KB installed. It did come with this little crappy tuner thing but I wanted to see and watch it be tuned so I knew where it was a/f wise.. someone had some real issues with their KB at the time mine was installed so I had to do it.... if you have a good tuner near you then I highly recommend getting dyno tunes... I have my Brisk plugs gaped down to 25.. have had 0 issues

Like i said i am going to a shop tomorrow, he said if i am satisfied with the way the car drives overall then he could just richen up the wot so i could be safer.Overall i am happy with driveability but getting this done is going to be just as expensive as a tune.Heads up grabber, nobody except KB can use that x-cal1 so you would have to purchase the newer xcal3 or predator if you don't already have one. This tuner is telling me that he can go in and remove the tune reflashing the car back to stock and then use the predator. What do you guys think?Does this sound like a waste of money and grabber what do you mean you're not worried about 12.5 don't you put foot in her.The guys that pulled the car said they are surprised it hadn't taken a shit yet.But made 460 one pull then 480 on another.I don't know but i would appreciate your feed back before i use use any more money as toiletpaper.

12.5 A/F is a "best torque" target, some people prefer to use that A/F at WOT...And I already know that I'm going to have a different programmer, the tuner I'm going to uses Diablosport software, so guess what? I get a Predator, not the POS black box that KB sends. I talked to them about that piece of crap and sending a real handheld, but the won't do it, not even for datalogging purposes. They are pretty arrogant.

Alright got the car done today by Justin Burcham, try 490rwhp and 480 ftlb that what the kb tune and some cool air produced. When he looked at tune he noticed that kb has the tune commanded for 11.0-11-.1 a/f but something to do with the maf curve was causing the car to do something different, also it seems that i also had that same lean condition at cruzin and when its first stabbed after being started up,to be honest the car feels so much smoother now.The timing was also knocked down to 17 instead of 25-26 which he considered unsafe and after all said and done 483rwhp which i could give a shit about just being safer was my concern.

That's awesome! So your car was doing the EXACT same thing as mine is (part-throttle lean), and it's MAF related? That's really good news, now at least I have a direction to go in when I take it down to Andy in Watertown, SD. So he made adjustments to the MAF curve and pulled some timing? So you're seeing a little richer mix at WOT now too, right? That's good shit man, hopefully I can get mine tuned in a month...
