Damn my stang sounds wierd and more smoke out of the pipes
I was just starting the Mustang GT 06, I thought hmm sounds a little weird, then I drove away and more speed I made more weird it sound, sounds a little to much like a v8 and I noticed when I got out that more smoke where to see out of the Pipes, also noticed now that the warning sign with the engine is on.
HELP, I hope its not anything expensive.

p0202 - injector circuit/open cylinder 2
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire P0316 Misfire Detected on Startup (First 1000 Revolutions) Now first I really dont know that much about engines I just drive fast, please tell me this is no big deal can easily be fixed. Thats what I found in Predator trouble codes

looks like I have to check the plugs to the Sparks, if thats ok, maybe change the spark in cylinder 2, must be able to do such thing myself.

what are your mods? are you forced induction? do you run an octane booster? what octane gas? how many miles on the car??

I have C&L air intake with Predator tune thats it. Octane 95, miles hmm 45.000 km.

Well, the first code obviously mentions an injector issue on cylinder two, the 2nd code is a misfire on cyl 2 and I'd bet my lunch that the 3rd code (misfire on startup) is based off the same problem. Without actually looking up any information the first thing I';d tell you to do is check that the number 2 injector is plugged in, then listen to the injector with a stethescope to tell if it is working. You can also unplug that injector and test if it is getting power with a HIGH IMPEDANCE test light, but I wouldn't mess with that just yet unless you know what your doing.
But if you don't know much about cars, then you're best off taking it to a reputable shop and having them look at it. If it's a bad injector it won't cost too much but it could be a lot of things.

sounds like an injector electrical issue (yea sounds obvious huh?).........take it to a shop and have it checked out sounds like your best bet. Do some visuals first like make sure its plugged in. Also be careful if you go to pulling plugs, you can break them if your not.

sounds like what everyone else that has a clue said... if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, its probably a duck.
swap #2 injector to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows it.. if it does, there you go. |

thanks, also have found the reason I think, the wire to the coils i think you call it is cut,so a little tape will do it I think, I could not se anything yesterday was to dark

Hello whiskey - yes a lot of Diesel here, but we only have 92 - 95 - 98 - 110 I set the tune for 95 okt.
Now the great news was at a Mechanic today and it was those bad wires that goes to the plugs that where cut, got some new, but those wires are really crap I must say.
