How much should an xpipe run me, just an xpipe?

Preferably one that has a nice deep sound. Basically something that could give a sound similar to the way a 5.0 sounds, or how the 4.6 2 valves sound when they've got the exhaust broken in. You know, that deep rumble like sound.

I want deep, but I've got magnaflow axle backs since I don't want just a loud growl no matter how lightly I press the gas, but enjoy the idle and good sound at WOT. How much should one cost me shipped, and does anyone have any suggestions for one that may match up with what I'm looking for? Used/New doesn't matter, as long as it's a quality part.

most people will probably tell you the x-pipe is going to be raspy, and to get an h-pipe and a chambered muffler if you want deep rumble just a forewarning.

are you talking about just a splice in x pipe? or something that replaces the whole mid pipe like a high flow catted or o/r midpipe.

Best bang splice in x pipe is going to the one from FRPP, its 130 list price.

$150 and below is a good deal.

I think I got mine for $179.99 back in the day and I was happy with that.

3v's sound so much better with an h-pipe. I have never heard a 3v sound as good as a new edge... Unless I hear the KB lol

An X-pipe should run you about $179-600 depending if you want cats, what brand, and if it's a shorty or not. Shorty is for long tube headers, full size if you have stock or short headers. You can always try CL or the want ads for them.

no one said anything about headers. i'm guessing he want's to use it with the stockers.

i use the frpp cut in x-pipe with slp loudmouth and love it. it isn't raspy like most would think. just barely any rasp at wot. it also quieted the slp's down inside the car, but outside made it louder.

if he wan't deep rumble than he wants an h-pipe. I'm not saying that x's don't sound good, just stating from what he described he want's an h. either that or switch his mufflers to a mid muffler set up, then he could run either an x or an h and the mufflers them selves give it a deeper tone.
