Please define 'fairly cheap'.

To me anything under 1000 is cheap, but everyone thinks differently.

CMCV's
CAI
UD's
XCAL2
NO2

How's that for some acronyms under $1000!

Put in a stage 3 camshaft from blow by racing with a tune. best part about this is you will get great horspepower, sounds awesome with the tune, plus you are one step closer to improving your internals for a bid A&& supercharger.

In short Bro,,,They free up HP wasted in the mechanical parts of the motor.....There is no cons to doing the U/D pullies....If you do the CMDPs then you will need a custom tune!Thats it in a nut shell. Now go give that Stang some STERIODS & bring the beast out of her!

its actually a he. dukes of hazzard fans should get that. So if there is no con, then why doesnt ford just use these pullies instead? And for the plates, i would just need a tuner, like sct or diablo?

Could'nt tell ya why Ford did'nt use them.I think they were used by Ford on the older Cobras.I think??And yes Diablo/SCT can be used but you will need a custom tune written. You won't be able to use one of the can tunes that the hand held comes with.

OK,,,You named your car "General Lee"? Interesting that you would name your Mustang after a Charger.I named my 06GT "Shelly".In honor of the man,"Carol Shelby"!

Your best bet would be to call SCT directly and ask them to send(Via Internet) a tune for your list of mods. They will charge you for it but then you can down load that tune to your hand held and then boot it up into your car.But I still recomend a custom dyno tune! You will get the most out of it that way!

You won't need a tune for pullies.
All you are doing there is reducing rotational mass thus freeing up horsepower.

You WILL need a tune for a CAI or CMDP.

On my application I picked up 8 rwhp from the Steeda Underdrive pullies and I picked up 20 rwhp from the plates. This was after a baseline dyno. Installed pullies, dyno'd.. installed plates dyno'd.

I'll agree w/99% of what L33T has to say, but I'll also offer that there are some CAI's that do not require a tune. Yes, you will give up a few HP's, but they do exist. Im not a spokesperson for AIRAID, but they delivered me nearly 20HP for 300$ and I did not need a tune. AND....you can upgrade using the same CAI by removing the baffle inside of the pipe and then tuning. You can see mine by clicking on my garage link under my name. Let me tell you...I nailed it in 3rd today getting on the 4 lane while doing about 40... My ass end almost got away from me. I have serious power without dropping big $. I've spent just over 6 $ bones and Im very happy w/nealry 330HP

and I did not need a tune.
Just because the car is still running good for you doesn't mean your A/F and timing is like it should be. When it comes to fuel and air I'm scared to run anything new without getting those tables squared away on the PCM.

Not to say you will have a problem but every application is a little different and to just take someone's word is hard for me.
I need to see the data bro!

It's been two years since I bought those bolt ons, I know FRPP has a knock off of the Steeda plates now so you could save some loot there. I'm sure Ebay has plenty of deals too. I know I had to sell ALL of my bolt ons when I got blown and there are ALOT of people doing the same.
