I'm thinking of going with the SCT SF3 tuner from american muscle, rather than taking it to unique tuning in blufton SC. Does anyone have any input as to what they would do? Either buy a tuner or take it to a shop and have them tune it with a new chip? The prices are pretty similar...custom tuner being $379 or a tune from unique tuning being around $400

yeah don't get the tuner from AM. i'd suggest getting it from bamachips or brenspeed. personally i like bamachips, but either are great. unlike american muscle when you get it from bamachips you'll be able to give them any mods you have and he'll give you 3 separate tunes for the octane you tell him. you pick exactly the tunes you want. i would suggest getting race and torque tune in 93 or 91 whichever you have in SC.

some people go w/o a dyno tune for nitrous, but i for one am not going to be one of them. of course i have to get tuned anyway since i'm getting heads so i'll do it all at once.

If you only plan on simple mods, get a tuner from bamachips or brenspeed. If you're gonna do something more serious like nitrous, I think getting a dyno tune will be your best bet. You don't want to play it cheap on something like a 100 shot.

yes bama can do a tune for nitrous, but as i and ac said. i wouldn't want a email tune for a 100 shot. you could get the tunes for running n/a from bama and still have 2 of them in your tuner. it is also just fine to run your nitrous tune as your dd tune.

bamachips, brenspeed, all great companies to buy from. I'd also try Tillman Speed, their tunes are great too. and they will give you a tune for your nitrous

When you get a custom tune from Brenspeed , how do you know that the A/F ratio is going to be safe?

I loaded dougs nitrous tune for the 100 shot and put it on the dyno...the dyno tuner shruged and said.."nothing i can do, its dialed in"

SO go ahaed a order the 100 shot tune from Doug. Its fine. I ran it all summer.

Why are you guys saying not to run it ? have you guys had issues with it on your car or have heard of anyone running it with problems....just wondering if I got lucky on the dyno.
