surgery begins


Car is in the shop right now. Everything will be done tomorrow! Decided to paint my vavle cover red too. Won't be able to post vids or pics till monday though. I pick my car up saturday at 5 and leave to go to shreveport at 7. I can't wait to get this thing dynoed. I should be around the same numbers as mickey... but thats about the only thing mickey and i will have in common. Vids will be posted in a few days, not a few weeks.

for those that haven't followed... i'm getting mac lt's, o/r x, and comps stage 2 spr cams. This will be a mid 12 sec. car or bust. I was hitting 8.3's(1/8) before and will be dissapointed if i'm not around 8.0 or 7.9's. If not, what a waste of $2400.

if i only would of cared about sounding good, i would of just bought nsr thumpers. These vavle covers are so easy to paint... engine enamel doesnt really allow u to mess up. lol, when i say easy i didn't have to take them on or off either.

Just dont freak out, you will have to relearn to race... especailly with those cams...

With the addition of LT's o/r x, AND cams... loosing alotta bottom end ( forget what a graph says, you'll feel it when you go to launch the first time or two ). But, you'll find the power isnt gone, just relocated to a 'higher' zip code!

As long as you have the same set-up, you'll have very similar power (w/in about 10hp), dyno's and conditions sometimes vary.

Juco, I am having BBK long tube headers, catted X pipe and NSR stage two cams installed by BrenSpeed on Monday and Tuesday. I hope to get 340rwhp out of this set up. Their dyno is down until May so I will have to wait to get rwhp numbers.

spend that 300 and get those race delete plates they are worth it, especially with the big intake and cams. It is kinda like a missing link. Plus if I post a picture of what I found on my cmcv's everyone will get super duper pissed, in a big way.

i was wrong... x pipe is teh shit!. i'm so glad i cheaped out and didnt get the prochamber. i will post vids on monday, but this is by far the best sounding car i have ever heard! kinda has a ford gt sound to it. sounds like a straight up race car.
