Wheel spacers

Looking for some info/thoughts/ oponions on wheel spacers? I met up with some other bullitts here locally and this guy had wheel spacers on his and it looked awesome. Do the spacers mess with performance or anything else? Anyone install them before? Someone school me on this please before I buy some.

i wouldn't ever put a spacer on my car unless it was for the track. They aren't safe unless you get longer jucostuds

because that is the only way to get skinnies on the front and you are driving straight.

Very common for the 99-04 stangs to use them, especially some of the cobra guys looking for more width and not wanting to hammer in the fender wells.

My brother is running them on his 03 Cobra with the FR500's just shy of 600hp now and he's been fine..

You want to get hub centric spacers, if they are not hub centric, you don't want them.

Forgot a link, If I were to run a spacer, this is the company I'd use. You will not need longer studs.

Gil Racing, Inc.

I have driven on the street with them. You have mixed opinions on the street.I put 5500 miles on my car with the spacers on them and never had a problem. You should get longer studs tho, just for a safety measure. But truthfully, if your pushing any kind of power with hard launches or fast traps, you should get the longer studs anyways.

You know how to tighten down a wheel? As long as it takes to do that, is as long as it takes to mount those gil racing spacers..

a lot of big company shops won't work on your tires/brakes/anything that requires the wheels to come off if you put spacers on.
