it is really a case by case basis, remember the 1st thing your motor gets is torque the only time I have heard of a motor blowing at peak under load was a procharger under stupid high boost for a stock bottom end. There are plenty of people running paxton 2200 novi's at 10-13 psi with no problems and yes it is pushing the envelope, but there is really no safe boost number on stock internals. The rods are good to 450hp from the factory and that is bwhp not rwhp so think about it. Centri's are much safer to run but not a done deal either. So just look at what you are buying and take what ever risk you are comfortable with.

Your engine is only as strong as the weakest rod. The rods are the weakest link. They are made of compressed, heated powdered metal which is cheap to produce and relatively strong, but not to be over stressed. They are great in stock form, but when you add boost there really isn't any guarantee. The smartest thing to do is keep it at or under 450rwhp and have it tuned by someone that reaaly knows these systems.

Most people that blow their motor in that range are running over 11lbs, as was SUHleen! Most people in the 8-10lb range are safe and thats where ill be

I hate to be a dick, but see sig... Go over to modular fords and see Chad05GT's thread. "People that have had forced induction on a stock bottem end for over a year" or something to that effect. The people that have had FI for more than a year on the stock bottom end are in the minority for sure.

I'm pretty sure mickey has a bottom end planned in next year or two IIRC Navy. I agree with you though. Its not a BAD thing to have to build the bottom end.... Thats for sure.

I believe they plan on starting with the 3.6 or 3.75 pulley to begin tuning

Blower was installed by myself in January of 07 at about 11,000 miles. My car now has about 42000 miles on it. I guess I'm just lucky.
