Another Hood Question

So I finally had a day off from work/school where I could get my bubbling hood problem diagnosed. Long and short of it is, the two dealerships I went to could not do anything, because I am out of my base warenty (expired 3 days before I bought the car). At the second dealership I did talk with the collision shop manager, and he told me that he would strip and paint the hood for 300-400 dollars. He said the problem is that if its rusting and bubbling in one spot, odds are its doing the same somewhere else and I will have the same problem in another few years. He recomended me going out and finding something after market so that I know the problem won't reoccur. So I'm looking for any imput people are willing to share in regards of aluminum v. fiberglass, and what companies to look into/avoid

thanks

I like a bunch of the cervini hoods, and the steeda's wernt bad either. I have been looking, I just wasn't sure if fiber glass is the better option over aluminum, and just a few other things I should look for when going with an after market hood.

Aluminum is easier to prep and paint which can end up leading to looking better.

Are the fiberglass hoods sturdy as opposed to the aluminum hoods?

fiberglass hoods are actually very sturdy, and alot of the times a fiberglass hood is heavier.

true, fiberglass might be harder to prep, but aluminum is harder to paint, get the paint to stick and make it last, and keep impurities out off the metal while painting.

Any painter I've ever talked to would much rather paint a quality aluminum hood vs a fiberglass hood though ..
