That is the EXACT thing that happened to mine! 3 times in about 6 months. I had Jim at KB send me a newer update to the tune, but it hasn't been quite right ever since that happened...

Still don't know what made the POP either...

I verified the brake and clutch switches are working (physically at least). I don't feel like ripping out my center console today to check the parking brake switch.

It would be wonderful if it was just a fuse... But oh well

Could be the cruise control module, or a bad clockspring. this happened on my Lincoln LS.

Per Ace's suggestion, I removed the battery terminals this weekend for about two hours (just to make sure).

Started her up, took a ride... issue persists.

I think I'm going to have to give in and take it to the dealer

^agreed.

If you can't find a DIY solution, then take it it. Or find someone that can fix/troubleshoot it for you. Sorry to hear that you might be taking it in man. Best of luck

And it's for a luxury thing too, ya know? Cruise isn't something that is necessary, but I used it constantly on the freeways around here (as they are FILLED with cops).

My car did that 2 or 3 times when I had the M90 and a modular powerhouse tune. It would only happen when I accelerated with cruise on. It would never throw a code, and would always be back to normal when I would shut the car down and restart. Weird. There are threads on this on nearly every forum.

With my TVS and a tune from Aric Carrion at Injected Engineering, it has never done it.

does the horn still work? if not you have a bad clockspring. best bet is to take it to the dealer (or have an awesome buddy do it) since you have to take the airbag out.

The upper switch on the clutch pedal (the one closest to the dash, not the floor) could very well be the problem. That is the one that switches just as the pedal starts to go down. This switch is intended solely to turn off cruise control. I'd put my money on that one unless the brakes lights are staying on all the time, then it would be the brake switch.
