Sooo hard..need help

hi new to site..but i am a member to other sites (found this 1 recently)
i have had my stang for 6 months and i think its time for the upgrades
im currently looking for CAI for my 06 gt. im having diffculty finding the highest hp gain, any clues? i suspect that i would need a tuner for it as well. please help meh. i have read in an article that c&l is the best at 30 hp gain (wen tuned i believe) at http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ck_airbox.html

thank you in advance. i have read some threads here about some CAI's but i need a clear definite answer, dont want to spend money on something then see theres a better part out there.

c&l has always been recomended to me from mustang speed shops (2). i went with the plastic inlet. gave up looks for a few more hp.

I have a C&L and love it. JLT has a very good one also. And Yes, you will require a Tuner and a Tune. SCT is the best IMO.

i just looked in my 5.0 mustangs magazine n i see a steeda cold air kit that gives an increase up to 38 hp its part number 555-3131 witht he high flow elow but yeah wat numbers u gettin from the c &l i kinda wanna wrap this up n buy 1 already lol but i want the most gain!!

I bought a Kit.

C&L CAI
Manaflow Cat Back
Predator Tuner

I installed the kit and the 93 octane tune. When I had it dyno'd, it came in at 254. The predator just couldn't get the tune right. I went to SCT and gained another 23hp with a custom tune.

ok so C&L and JLT r both have highest gains so one does not beat the other? also wat model CAI did u get?

so we settled at SCT is better than the predator.

thanks guys lots of help. Just wondering if i can pass this steeda gt CAI with high air flow eblow which says 38 hp is the highest.

also any1 kno the pricing?

That all Depends on the tune but if I had to do it all over again, I would go with JLT. Tucker can sell you the whole kit including the tune and Tuner. The tune is by John Lund if I'm not mistaken.....

they both give you the same gain. its just a matter of how much you want to spend on each intake, each one has a different price tag. the JLT is cheaper. $200 vs I think the C&L goes for $350.

i would agree that the C&L or JLT are the best from what i've heard about people that have them. i prefer the C&L because i personally think it looks better

Go check out brenspeed.com They've got some good kits there. I've just bolted one of their kits on and used their tune. I LOVE IT!!!!
