Gear Install Question

So I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some FRPP 4.10's and I wanted to get some advice on the install kit. I have an '07 GT with factory 3.55's and about 12k on the car, all street miles. So, the question is, should I get just the shim kit for the install, or do I need to get the kit with the bearings too? In other words, would I be OK reusing the factory bearings? Even if so, is it better "insurance" to get the bearings kit? Or would that just be a waste of money?

go with the master kit, with the bearings and everything.

even tho there are low miles on them, they could still have a problem or one could get mess up on the install cause they have to be pressed on and off.

go with the big kit

I just bought 4.10's and have 13K on the car. I was told just to get the shim kit. I haven't got them put in yet so I can't tell you from any experience, just what I was told when I asked.

Its easiest just to do the bearings during the swap for extra insurance. You would prolly be more than fine but for the little bit of extra cost its worth it to only do it once.

There are 3 kits. I would get the middle one that has carrier and pinion bearings and shims. Even though there are very low miles on yours and a lot of people will say you only need shims, it is extremely easy to damage a bearing when pressing it off of the pinion, so you are best off having them just to be safe. No need for the top of the line kit though, it comes with axle bearings and seals and the chances of damaging one of those is pretty slim unless the guy hemans the axles out like a moron or something lol.
