Nitrous Setup, NEED HELP GUYS!

hey guys! I was wondering what imma gonna need for nitrous. I have an 08 gt. and current mods are, 93+tune with SCT SF3, Steeda HF CAI, Steeda UDPs, Pypes O/R X-pipe, 3.90s, Steeda LCA's on Nitto Slicks. i want to get some delete plates(DP) as well but i dont if imma gonna need to get the DPs with the N20 holes tapped on the DPs. or if i could just get the regular Economy Delete Plates from steeda (cheaper) or the charge motion ones. the nitrous kit im going to purchase in a few days its going to be from Zex(75-175) but i am not sure what "other mods" i need to support the shots.i know that i need the pressure gauge. possibly b-heater, control switch. thanks guys for reading. any info can really help!!!

FYI- im new to MM as far as for registering up. but ive been around getting knowledge thru everyone's post on MM. Thnks for the knowledge guys!!

You dont need the CMCV's with nitrous bungs. The kit your buying is a typical wet style kit so there is no need for a port style setup that requires those. You got it right with switches, guages, bottle heater (look into transducers which automatically control your heater by monitoring bottle pressure), window switch although I think the ZEX kit has there own version of such in the kit, a tach sensor as some guys have trouble picking a signal up from their coil wires like me. I suggest getting at least 2 bottles, one is never enough trust me ( transducer for each), colder heat range spark plugs, what else am I missing guys. 07Pro where are you at?

ta-dah!!

Rstrick says it best. Direct port is a seroius step, which im in the middle of making. We are talking fuel system upgrade, dyno tuning etc... Basic wet kits just plumb into the CAI or bolt to the TB. These cars take a 100 wet shot like a hooker takes a kawk! very well. Over and above that and you will start puddling in the intake and then all you need is a backfire to wreck your day. Remember our intakes were designed to flow dry air...not atomized air/fuel mixtures.

so. this is my opinion.

100 wet shot kit of your choosing
1 step colder plugs of your choosing
bottle warmmer
Cabin pressure gauge
Wideband to monitor A/F
Purge solonoid
Nitrous tune from Bamachips.
Digital window switch (digital not needed but its nice to be programble) - this is not needed if you go ZEX i believe

Drop that in your car and you will be rolling worry free.

The Nitrous pre-drilled Motion Delete Plates are not suited for pills less than 125. If I must...I can pull up the link to verify that statement from a Nitrous guy that has the Steeda plates.

I've been researching alot of sites about juice. I'll save you a little time. I've got a stick. You don't want to miss a gear and be spraying so if your a manual get the Zex window switch. I like the microedge but some have reported trouble mating other window switches with the Zex kit. Which BTW is said to be an excellent choice for new gassers. Then don't take chances. There are guys running stock tunes and plugs with a 75 pill but I would get the colder plugs from jump with at least a good Nitrous tune that you can load trackside. Guys "in-the-know" that really play it safe order a Nitrous tune for 91 octane and then burn 93 on track day. I love my pony and want to keep her hood looking as it does.

The two links above come with EVERYTHING you could think of needing and in my opinion is the best setup for the money. The only thing the above two links don't come with are Guages (Wideband, Fuel Pressure, Bottle pressure) that you would probably want also. ALTHOUGH, after further research, Zex is easier to install and setup for the first time and NX uses slightly higher quality solenoids. NX is the best period in my opinion, Zex is the easiest to install and the HSW kit I posted is the best for the money.

My $.02 ... Been thinking REALLY seriously about nitrous myself lately.

thnks guys for all the input, i learned alot of info!!

is this true - "On or around Feb 2008 Ford changed designs of the spark plug. They are a completely different thread than used from 2005 until the transition sometime in 2008" - got my stang in early september of 2007 and its an 08. my plugs should be the same thread from 05and up till Feb 08 right??

and brenspeed has the cheapest sale for a Nitrous kit but not for the gauges, bottle heater, etc., ive been pricing for a bout two weeks

and the window switch should help since i got 5 speed manual.
