05+ gas tank fill "fix" ????


So, I found on s197.com a diy on the whole 05+ gas fill issue, well today I got under ther car and did it, blew compressed air thru the filter and all the hose's , here's the thing. BEFORE I took the car to "try" and see if i could get a full tank, my gas gauge shows a full tank!!! 1st, anyone seen this thread, and tried it ?, 2nd have I screwd my car up more now?? just curious.

Not sure on why that is, but I know in the first 5k miles i had the car if i went around a turn sharply then the gas moved in the tank and my gauge dropped to zero...even if it was half full. Try resetting all your mpg info and drive a few miles. Idt you could have hurt your car with compressed air...

you probably just bubbled some of the gas up and caused the lever arm to lift up some, it should fall back down on its own or after you put some more gas in it.

What I dont get is how that technique will fix the gas fill up prob. I mean I only get that once in a while. 1 out of 25 fillups or more. I just turn the handle to the back or fill slowly. I run 93 and that might also help.
