? for those who have C&L and SCT from bamachips

I feel as if the tune i got from bamachips isn't really doing anything. i have the 93 race tune loaded in the ecu and i have not been impressed at all with the performance. even the very first time i took the car out after installing everything, i did not notice a difference. i have been in contact with them through email and i'm still waiting to see if they will email me a new file.

my questions to you guys are:

1) how did it feel to you, did it put a big grin on your face when you felt the extra power?

2) if you dyno'd your car after installing the C&L intake with the 93 race tune, what power did you make?

i really appreciate any responses, i'm trying to see if i got a bad file or that's just the way it is

1 yes
2 nol but the SOTP dyno reported a NICE gain. I did my CMCV's too, so I picked up a little more.

You should have notived an instant difference.
What tuner do you have?

If you have the livewire, load a canned tune from the livewire into the car, selecting the C&L intake option...see if there is any diff.

If you did not feel a drastic difference with a tune/cai combo, something is wrong...I guarantee it

i agree, do you (or anyone) know how to get ahold of bamachips on the forums? it takes a long time to get a reply through email. i want to be sure i talk to the same person until this is fixed.

i thought to myself once i drove it, WOW i wasted $600. seems the only thing it did was make it sound better. so i said screw it,i'll use up the rest of the 93 gas and i'll upload the 87 perf tune and just get better gas mileage. then after a couple weeks, i put the 93 race back in, didn't notice a difference!

especially doug's race tune. the throttle response should be insane. Mine was.

Doug is a great guy, and usually replied to me within the hour on emails, and answered calls immediately.

Just don't think it's going to be adding 200 rwhp and make your car a rocket ...

Bama

No problem with my tunes from Doug either. The race tune throttle response is crazy, I switched from the race to the performance and immediately switched back due to the throttle response. Gim him a call, he will take care of you.

well, i'm not having any luck getting ahold of anyone about this issue. i tired 3 times to call them and i sent another email, no response.

if i buy a tune from brenspeed, will it work with my tuner. all they need is my computer code right? hopefully i can get a file from them that will work good.

1st tune from bamachips made my car feel like a V6 & gas milage fell through the floor.

2nd tune = maybe as good as stock

Next, I put longtube headers on. 3rd tune = great numbers on the butt dyno. But they can't fix my o2-related check engine light. I have talked to many people about this and I am convinced that contrary to popular opinion, a check engine light is not something you just have to live with when you get longtube headers.

I have the Bama 89 torque tune. I did notice the difference w/ tune-cai, but seem to have lost 3-4mpg hiway. Throttle response is awesome and city mpg seems maybe +1 or 2. I have called twice and emailed twice and gotten no response either....Just gonna drive it and when I get the $$ buy another part and have it retuned.

AHHHHH.... I called twice again today, i finally got a response to an email which didn't do any good at all. i already told him TWICE what the problem was. And his response was asking again what we have already been over. I replied, now i have to wait another 4 days to get a reply. this is crazyness. i guess i'll have to pay someone else to get what i already paid for. then get a dyno test and see where i'm at.
