I would try smoothing them out first.... if the nick is in the middle of the side and there isn't anything sticking out that would cause a groove there shouldn't be any problem.. do they slide freely would be the question...

It really doesn't look like they were damaged on the machined surfaces, If everything still fits and there isn't any loose metal.. just look at it in worst case scenario as to what those small nicks could do to other parts... I can't see it being much of a problem... but you will know they are in there like that...
