Burnouts here I come!

Finished installing the PMP line lock kit today with JEGS solenoids. No issues with the install at all, just used my own wiring and a leftover switch from my NOS kit. Ran one wire from each solenoid into the car and connected both together, then to the switch. Already had 12V power to the switch, as it used to be the power source in the dash. As you can see, the results speak for themselves:

Its cool just dont put you nitrous switch next to the line lock and flip it without looking. While doing 70mph.........if you want to ask my friend about it first.

Not an issue. Line lock switch here:

Nitrous switches here:

Now that I think about it, the solenoids when engaged just prevent brake fluid from backing out of the caliper, so if the caliper wasn't being pressed down he wouldn't have the brakes lockup, he just wouldn't have front brakes. Right?

No, he would have a severe issue with two things, the solenoid would be placed under pressure and be the firewall for the fluid on the wrong side of the wall - and it won't last long if multiple occurrences occur. It's built with the intent of loading the pressure, locking it to the caliper side and then releasing the pedal. Secondly you will back wash the abs if you were pressing the pedal and then released the switch with the solenoid under that sort of duress. Both are additional reasons we run two solenoids on these cars from the jump.

You HAVE to push the brakes first than engage the switch for it to hold the front brakes, after engaging the switch you can let go the brake pedal and do your burnout.

even if you hit the switch while moving it won't affect anything, I tried mine at lower speeds just to see what would happen, it don't even slow down the car.
The only thing line locks does is hold pressure that is previously applied to the brakes.

Careful, you don't want people going out and flipping the switch on the move.

As I mentioned above, if you are rolling and engage the switch without pedal pressure, then apply a fair amount of pedal pressure you can destory the solenoid, and worse yet set the ABS up for premature failure.

Don't use them on the roll, load the pedal engage, release pedal and don't go back to it unless your trying to spend excess money on brake system parts that should last a lifetime.

side note-
i have the same switch for my nitrous setup but with the gauge hole on the front cupholder spot. my girl always tells me i should have gotten the one with the cupholder spot since there are no more cupholders in the car. 1) i tell her she shouldnt be drinking in here in the first place. 2) i told her i didn't think it was safe to have drinks right next to electrical switches like that. don't you think you might spill or leak whatever you have in the front spot, then soak into the switches causing a short circuit and possibly activate the switches during so? i've always wondered that....

ok. back on topic. think i'm going to order one of these soon!

im gonna say heavys marks are the darker ones and Erins are the lighter ones....

There is no disturbance of the rubber piles on the lighter marks which leads me to believe that car has side exhaust.
